Elder fraud
Elder fraud, a type of elder abuse, is a crime targeting older individuals involving financial exploitation, scams, or identity theft. Older Americans are disproportionately impacted by scams and fraud. The most widely reported types of elder fraud include tech scams, personal data breaches, confidence and romance scams, non-payment or non-delivery scams, and investment scams.
