Volunteer Ambulance Attendant specialized license plates
A volunteer ambulance attendant is one who provides emergency medical services for a Minnesota licensed ambulance service as defined in Minnesota Statute 144E.001, subd.15.
The applicant must self-certify that they qualify on the Special Plate Application. When the applicant ceases to be a volunteer ambulance attendant, the license plates may no longer be displayed.
Plates are available for passenger vehicles only. Volunteer Ambulance plates are available with the disability parking symbol for qualified applicants, and the plates can be personalized. Plates may be transferred to another vehicle owned by the applicant. There is a $5 plate transfer fee.

For fastest service visit your nearest deputy registrar office.
Applications mailed in take longer to process and will be returned if the fees are incorrect. When mailing, use the motor vehicle fees page to determine fees due or contact us.
